Web Design tips to start
Web design can be quite a daunting prospect if you’re new to the internet. To create your own website, but no idea where to start to have. Html? Photoshop? Fireworks? FrontPage? Dreamweaver?
This article / tutorial you start with some tips and tricks for working with web design – and take shortcuts!
Tip 1: Learn HTML
I hear you moan. I said I wanted to give you some shortcuts, now I suggest you learn HTML! Unfortunately no past as well. Even if you use the links to web design that I propose to learn HTML is still the best investment you can make. This is really not so difficult, and there is much for your help understanding the web design.
A really good place for online tutorials on HTML can be found here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/
Depending on your enthusiasm and your level of technical competence, I would also suggest that you learn a little about CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Style sheets cascade can be very helpful with the control layout, colors and images in your web page. You’ll find some good CSS tutorials on the W3Schools website.
Tip 2: Use a template for web design
It really is a link to the web design! I suggest you create your first web page using a template. There are many business models available, and frankly, they are beautiful, but I’ll give you some tips on where to find free templates on the net. Most people think that the search was for ‘free web templates’ in Google, the most obvious way to do this – but I suggest you rather search for “open source web templates.
Here are three sources with open source (wholesale – free to use) are web templates. The advantage of these models is that they are generally well designed and give you some good web design principles (like most business models against which, although they certainly Nice appearance, they are generally not designed to make use of this good principles of web design).
My favorite open source Web Site Design is http://www.oswd.org – This site has over 1600 clip art to choose. Download all the planning and building your website! Most of these models use CSS and why it’s a good idea is to learn CSS.
Another site with lots of free template designs is http://www.daydreamgraphics.com – I suggest if you are new to the position always made designs with tables. These are the easiest to handle and operate. The models are not for everyone Daydreamgraphics thing – they are usually designed to look like a funky young, so if you should be looking for a design that you can use for your company or business, you’d better make more of an OSWD design choice, but if you are creating a personal website, on a personal Web site or a site to make music or entertainment, these models work very well.
Tip 3: Use Wordpress or Joomla to build your website
This option is really by far the best way to build your website in the long term. Theoretically, you do not need to know HTML and CSS to create and edit your site, but in practice it is interesting to learn these skills because they help you learn to master these instruments are even faster.
The steps to create your site using these tools are:
1. Log in to your cPanel control panel (if you’re not a guest which gives you a control panel CPanel and Fantastico scripts – to be honest, my only advice is to change, so do not be!)
2. Select Control Panel Fantastico
3. Choose either Wordpress or Joomla in the menu on the left side.
4. Install Wordpress or Joomla in the root folder.
There are numerous tutorials freely available Wordpress – Just do a Google search for “free Wordpress and Joomla Tutorials begin a search for” using Joomla.
For the look of your Wordpress or Joomla site is easy! You simply install a new model. Wordpress and Joomla templates are specific to these tools (you can not), all originals.
