I love music. Look in my ipod and you will see that I have over fifteen thousand songs, that’s right, I have no less than 15,475 songs. It would take me exactly 91 days, 13 hours and 56 minutes to listen to it all. More than listening to music, I love to play. I started playing instruments when I was five. I started with piano and ended up learning everything from guitar to drums to saxophone, but my one true love turned out to be the cello. I love the deep resounding tones and when I start to play, I could play for hours on end and not get sick of it. So imagine my excitement when I got an opportunity to audition for Julliard. It had been my lifelong dream to be part of their music program. So when I got the letter, I almost fainted. I practiced like crazy and drove everyone at home batty because for weeks it was all I could talk about. So you can imagine my horror when I was informed that somehow, the airline had booked me and my mom’s flight a week later than we expected, I’m not exactly sure who’s fault it was, my mom can get very disoriented at times, all I knew was that I absolutely could not miss out on this. Driving there was not an option because it was too far and the train would take too long as well. So, my mom got us an jet charter flight. I was ecstatic! Not only was I going to fulfill my dreams but I got to go their in style on an air charter service flight!
I got to my audition in one piece, well rested and ready to play my heart out. Thanks to that jet charter flight, I was able to get to my audition, and of course, I hit the ball out of the park. Tomorrow, I get to graduate with a degree from Julliard.
